Daniel Revis

My name is Daniel, and I graduated Life Recovery Ministries in September 2024. Before coming to LRM, I was completely lost and broken. My dad abandoned me at a young age, and I grew up feeling alone and worthless. By 12, I was already smoking pot and drinking to escape. High school was full of partying, but things got worse at 18 when I started using meth and heroin. I got trapped in a hopeless cycle of addiction and violence.

I knew I had a problem and tried to quit many times. In 2023, I was so tired of who I had become that I knew I needed real change. Coming to Life Recovery Ministries was an easy choice, but surrendering to others and submitting to Jesus was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I was stubborn and used to following myself. But the leaders, mentors, and my sponsor helped me through every step.

While in the program, I gave my life to Jesus. He gave me friends I could trust and a new identity. Now, I have hope for my future. God restored my family relationships and made me a dependable man for my son. I am giving back by sponsoring others and being a light to those still struggling.
