Our Program
Life Recovery Ministries (LRM) is a 12-month Christian discipleship ministry run by the Father's House Church, where men and women who suffer from addiction can recover in a safe and Christ-centered environment. Our goal is to help men and women become free of addiction, have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ, and become positive members of society.
Our LRM disciples sign up for a unique program and schedule when they decide to join our ministry. They take part in morning devotions, church services, small groups, and classes, as well as learning job skills through volunteering on-site or at one of our partner businesses. The standard they are expected to live is very high; however, the rewards of successfully completing the program are astronomical.
Program Structure
When clients enter into our program, there is an initial 30 day probation period where clients are asked to not communicate with anyone outside of the program. After the 30 days, they are allowed to make monitored calls to family and friends.
Every 90 days, clients get the opportunity to "level up". Each level up opens up more freedom for the clients, such as longer passes with family and friends, and access to a local gym.
Housing
Residential/Inpatient
We have 2 men's recovery houses that have recently been remodeled. They are located on the corner of D Street and Fallbrook Ave in southside Oroville. We can currently house up to 18 male clients.
We have one female recovery house on Oro Bangor Highway in southside Oroville. We can currently house up to 4 clients; however, we are aiming to get a bigger house in the near future.
Food & Supplies
We offer cooked dinners for all of our clients throughout the week as well as a community breakfast on Wednesdays. We also have access to a weekly food bank that subsidizes for a portion of the rest of the groceries.

Work Experience
Our clients gain valuable experience in the workforce! Life Recovery Ministries partners with multiple different non profits; as part of their program, our clients are required to be involved in these businesses.
The men in our program are given the opportunity to gain skills in general handyman work, property maintenance, or landscaping. The women volunteer at Restored Boutique, which is a secondhand boutique in downtown Oroville.
Being a part of these ministries not only gives our clients valuable life skills and work experience, it is also about giving back to our community.

Acceptance Into Our Program
We aim to make almost anyone eligible for an interview; however, we have learned over the years that in certain circumstances we are not able to give the type of care a client might need. This is mainly due to mental and physical health issues.
Clients must be able to complete a full week of volunteering week in and week out. We understand some clients may be detoxing, so in our interview process we will agree on a plan for them to have time to recover before they begin volunteering. We also understand that sickness can happen throughout their program; we will allow our clients to remain home when they are unable to volunteer. Unfortunately, we do not have a facility to house someone who is unable to meet these requirements.
We will interview anyone from any criminal background including sexual or violent offenders, but acceptance will be case by case with NO GUARANTEES.
Program Fees
The program costs $700 per month. However, we never turn anyone away based on their financial situation. For potential clients that have no income, we credit their volunteer hours towards their program fees and agree on a payment plan for any outstanding debt.
Transitional Program
Our goal for our clients is that they have long lasting success and achieve more than a year of sobriety. To help achieve this goal we offer further support upon graduation of life recovery ministries. We call this our Transitional Program.
After a client graduates Life Recovery Ministries, they will have the opportunity to move into our transitional house for up to six months at a time. If they feel they need more time at the end of the six months, they may apply for a further six months.
The transitional program is built to aid our clients into the rest of their lives. This program has less restrictions then we have in our recovery program, but keeps some of the fundamentals that our clients have learned in their recovery, such as a positive environment, drug testing, accountability, and regular meetings.
